Shreyas Doddamani was awarded a prestigious internship at the
Throughout his tenure, Shreyas has been an active participant in the Institute’s weekly seminars, where he consistently contributed
to discussions and engaged with advanced mathematical ideas. Under the guidance of his mentors at MSIB, he worked on producing
expository accounts in specialized areas such as Algebraic Topology and Birational Geometry, showcasing his ability to synthesize
complex concepts into accessible narratives for the mathematical community.
His role extended beyond research participation. At the Mathematical Foundations Training Camp (MFTC), Shreyas took on
responsibilities at the level of a tutor, assisting fellow participants in navigating challenging topics. This experience
highlighted his pedagogical skills and his commitment to fostering mathematical understanding among peers.
His other achievements include a poster presentation at the International Conference organised by TIMC (The Indian Mathematics
Consortium), IISER PUNE, Europen Mathematical Society and SPPU PUNE.
This achievement reflects his ability to engage with the global mathematical community and present his work to a
diverse audience of scholars and researchers.
Kritika Tekriwal is an intern at MSIB for the current academic year 2025-26.
She has earned a distinct acheievement for her dedicated work in the areas of Stochastic Processes,
Dynamical Systems , and Applied Mathematics, with a particular emphasis on Mathematical Finance. Her internship at
the Mathematical Sciences Institute, Belagavi (MSIB) during the current academic provided her with a platform to explore
these advanced topics in depth and to contribute meaningfully to the Institute’s academic environment.
During this period, she has been a regular participant in the Institute’s weekly seminars, where she engages with faculty
and peers in discussions that bridged theoretical mathematics with real‑world applications. Her research collaborations with
mentors at MSIB resulted in expository accounts and analytical studies that illuminated the connections between stochastic modeling,
dynamical systems theory, and financial mathematics.
Kritika’s role was not confined to research alone. At the Mathematical Foundations Training Camp (MFTC),
she contributed as a technical help to accomplish various tasks at the camp.
Her academic journey also includes significant contributions to international platforms.
Kritika presented a poster at the International Conference jointly organized by TIMC (The Indian Mathematics Consortium) ,
IISER PUNE, Europen Mathematical Society and SPPU PUNE. Her presentation highlighted her interest in mathematical analysis
and applied dynamical systems.
During her internship, Ms. Neha Shinde spearheaded a comprehensive project titled “Invisible Shields:
How Cryptography Safeguards Our Digital Lives,” where she delved into the intersection of mathematics and
computer science. Neha demonstrated a deep technical understanding of the mechanisms that protect our global
digital infrastructure, focusing specifically on the mechanics of encryption and data integrity. Her work
involved a rigorous analysis of foundational cryptographic algorithms, including RSA - Algorithm,
AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), and various Hash Functions, illustrating her ability to grasp
complex computational theories and their practical applications.
Beyond theoretical research, Neha successfully bridged the gap between abstract algorithms and real-world security
needs. She explored how these "invisible shields" function within critical modern systems, such as secure
financial transactions, private communication channels, and the emerging field of online voting. By examining
the vulnerabilities and strengths of these digital safeguards, Neha provided valuable insights into how data
protection maintains trust in our increasingly connected society. Her contributions reflect a sophisticated
perspective on digital privacy and a strong aptitude for cybersecurity analysis.
